oh i just got a bad smell comin from the a/c vent when i first turn it on it smells like mildow.

That means youv'e got condensate in your AC unit and mildew/mold is growing in your ducts etc. You lot can buy some stuff to put in your air intake to take care of it.

I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6

Frigi-Fresh is what you want. Spray it in the intake cowl on the exterior while the AC runs. I don't think it sells in any stores, I've just seen it online. Google for various vendors.

1st gen tacos DO NOT have a cabin filter. I called toyota for the same upshot. Pretty crappy.

x2 We use it at work just BG is not sold in your everyday retail stores, mostly professional person shops. But information technology works awesome, it kills the bacteria that'southward creating the bad odor and it smells good.

how much does information technology cost and were exactly do yous spray it? cause i don't know alot nearly a/c.
Some mice built a nest in my A/C blower and information technology took forever to get the odour out. I used a shop vac to get the mice dropping out of the blower housing and ran some spray air fresher through the intake. Those mice were similar drunk from spinning around in the blower. Used some stainless steel wool stuffed in the opening past hood hinges to keep them out.

I used the tip from the other site that I mentioned above and sprayed some clorox based shower cleaner in the cowl vents with the ac running and the out side vents open and after two attempts I think information technology took the smell out.

Try a Google search. Merely, the product I saw, went straight to A/C evaporator, foams expands, does its matter, then is supposed to drain out the drain tube. There may be other products on the market? Simply the i I described is the only one I have seen work.

Here is what I used and where I sprayed information technology. If you lot run you a/c blower on high and exterior air open( yellow low-cal on), you can feel the air being pulled in at the cowl vent. I got the Shower Cleaner at Dollar General and it also works similar a champ on shower mildew. Since your are a fellow Florida cracker, y'all know about the blackness mold.

after yous've cleaned your air conditioning unit out, go in the habit turning the ac off and letting the fan run for a min earlier shutting the truck off, that will assistance finish the problem from reoccurring.
